We all read those articles on how successful people start their day before the sunrise and are being productive and motivated literally the whole day. Love it or hate it, the right morning routine is the key to a happy and healthy lifestyle. Here is what I recommend that you do every day before you get to work 🙂
1. Get Inspired
How often do we read or see something inspirational before going to bed and think tomorrow I’ll start a new life! Then the next morning we rush into our day and nothing changes. Why not get inspired as soon as you wake up? My morning coffee always includes reading or watching something that will motivate me to work harder towards my goals.
2. Move your body
If you have planned a busy day it’s only wise to get your workout sorted early in the morning. Chances are your performance in the gym will be better, as opposed to training after you’ve come home from a long day at work. Plus, even a small workout will give you a boost of energy and confidence
3. Have a cold shower
A cold shower in the morning will not only improve your immune system, but will also strengthen your willpower.
When you start each day in a space of gratitude and clarity your life becomes more mindful = happy.
5. Tell your loved ones you love them
Is there anything more important in life than your family and people you love? Hug them or message them, and remember, one day they might not be around.
6. Set your goals
Make sure to write your goals down and track their progress consistently. And don’t forget, without a plan your goal is just a wish.
7. Plan your day
Whether you work in an office, study or run your own business, having a detailed schedule will help you feel more in control and motivated.
8. Reduce decisions
Research shows that the simple act of making decisions degrades one’s ability to make further decisions. Everyday choices — e.g. which sandwich to buy or what clothes to put on— wear down our mental energy. You need to maintain a routine to focus your decision-making energy.
Life is busy. If you have a full-time job and kids, it might feel impossible to move toward your dreams. If you don’t purposefully carve time out every day for yourself, one day you will wake up old wondering where your life went!
Let me know if you have your own morning routine xx
